NUMC Honors Exemplary Employee Isha Ally

NHCC Interim President and CEO Megan Ryan, Esq. presents Isha Ally, a medical assistant in NUMC’s ambulatory medicine clinic, with a citation recognizing her as the hospital’s “Employee of the Month” for April 2024.

(EAST MEADOW, NY) – Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) proudly announces Isha Ally as the April Employee of the Month. Affectionately known as Ally among colleagues and friends, his recognition celebrates her outstanding dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the patients in her care and her colleagues at the hospital.

“We are delighted to recognize Ally for embodying the true spirit of NUMC – compassion, service, and excellence,” said Megan C. Ryan, interim President and CEO for NHCC. “Ally’s willingness to guide new staff, care for patients, and promote teamwork is exemplary. She is the kind of employee every department dreams of having. She inspires others and we are excited about her continued growth and success in her future endeavors.”

Ally’s journey at NUMC is marked by a remarkable trajectory of service excellence. Starting her career as a team leader in customer service at JFK Airport, Ally demonstrated her passion for assisting others during stressful situations. She transitioned to NUMC in 2016 as a Patient Care Assistant II (PCA 2) in the ER, where she showcased her resilience and compassion, especially during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the demanding circumstances, Ally’s positive demeanor and dedication to providing exceptional care never wavered. Her contributions did not go unnoticed as she was promoted into nursing administration, where she spent two years before seizing the opportunity to join the ambulatory medicine clinic as a Medical Assistant in 2022.

In her current role, Ally fosters teamwork and provides valuable feedback to supervisors to enhance patient experience and flow. Her relentless pursuit of growth is evident as she pursues her RN degree, further solidifying her commitment to advancing her medical career.
